We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a media-related project from a remote location. The successful candidate will be responsible for attending meetings, planning, strategizing, and managing all aspects of the project while working virtually. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in project management within the media sector and experience working with nonprofit organizations and international donors.
Responsibilities:
• Lead project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and project accounting.
• Manage remote project teams to ensure compliance with project deadlines and milestones.
• Coordinate and attend virtual meetings for project updates, team coordination, and strategy sessions.
• Monitor and report on project progress to senior management and stakeholders.
• Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.
• Handle detailed, complex concepts and problems and make rapid decisions regarding management and development issues.
• Plan and implement project strategies in alignment with organizational goals.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Media Studies, Communication, or a related field.
• At least 5-10 years of experience in project management, preferably in media-related projects.
• Proven experience working with NGOs and familiar with donor regulations, especially those pertaining to USAID or similar entities.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and thrive in a complex environment with multiple priorities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in project management software tools.
Preferred:
• A background in media projects is highly desirable.
• Experience managing international and cross-functional project teams.
