The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, documenting transactions meticulously, and preparing detailed profit and loss statements. This position requires a detail-focused professional with a strong grasp of accounting principles and hands-on experience with bookkeeping software such as Peachtree or similar platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Record Management: Maintain complete and accurate financial records by ensuring all transactions are properly recorded, organized, and reported promptly.
- Profit and Loss Statements: Prepare and analyze profit and loss statements on a regular basis, identifying financial trends and providing insights to improve overall financial performance.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize Peachtree or equivalent bookkeeping software to facilitate efficient accounting processes and maintain precise financial data.
- Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local financial regulations. Prepare and submit financial reports in accordance with legal requirements.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Support the development of budgets and financial forecasts, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions to meet financial objectives.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with various departments to guarantee accuracy in financial reporting and communicate financial information clearly to management for informed decision-making.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of professional experience in accounting, with a focus on bookkeeping and financial statement preparation.
