This role is responsible for developing and implementing business strategies within assigned markets, fully aligned with the overall Sales Business Strategic Plan. The primary focus is on driving sales growth in the Livestock and Poultry sectors by collaborating closely with both existing and new distributors, clients, and customers. The position carries full profit and loss accountability and requires ensuring product quality, timely delivery, and adherence to customer specifications. Success in this role depends on achieving both top-line and bottom-line targets through effective teamwork with field staff and agents.
Key Responsibilities
- Maximize sales growth by engaging with existing and new distributors, clients, and customers in the Livestock and Poultry markets within the designated territory.
- Drive increased sales of current and upcoming product lines as defined by the group’s portfolio.
- Ensure all product deliveries meet agreed-upon quality and quantity standards with customers.
- Achieve revenue and profitability targets by proactively collaborating with business development teams, agents, and customers.
- Manage brand activities to enhance brand preference by leveraging brand strengths, developing brand properties, and maintaining brand health through targeted communication strategies such as advertisements and regional films.
- Develop and execute area-specific brand plans, monitor brand performance, and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
- Oversee timely collection of receivables from distributors, clients, and customers in line with group policies, while managing associated financial risks.
- Maintain comprehensive Customer Relationship Management (CRM) practices to strengthen client engagement.
- Conceptualize and establish a strong sales and distribution network within the assigned geography or cluster, including setting up the entire supply chain pipeline when required.
- Manage day-to-day local operations encompassing sales and distribution management, procurement, scheduling, coordination, resource allocation, and staffing.
- Collaborate closely with the Group’s Head Office and provide necessary support to reporting authorities and the Board of Directors.
- Submit bi-weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales achievement reports along with any other reports requested by the company.
- Continuously monitor field progress and project cost reports to ensure operational efficiency.
- Ensure timely execution of control procedures and accurate reporting.
- Set project-specific and annual individual goals, regularly reviewing and updating them on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
- Manage key performance indicators (KPIs) focused on top-line growth, bottom-line results, credit days, and advertising and promotion (A&P) activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Sciences or Animal Nutrition.
- 8 to 10 years of technical sales experience in feed additives or premixes.
