British American Tobacco Romania has an exciting opportunity for a Transactional Finance Analyst in Bucharest!

The role is part of GBS ENA and is responsible for effective and timely delivery of the daily tasks (bank accounts clearings, journal postings, fixed assets transactions) and month/ year-end closing activities (bank and balance sheet reconciliations).

Your key responsibilities will include:

Contributing to the effective and timely delivery of General Ledger and Fixed Assets activities, including month and year end closure activities, routine journals, provisions, accounts reconciliation ensure all the requests are actioned within the agreed SLA (Service Level Agreement)
Ad-hoc analyses on balance sheet or P&L accounts for End Markets within their responsibility
Be responsible for performing monthly and quarterly reconciliations of the balance sheet accounts, according to the existing policies and procedures
Be responsible for allocating the bank balances on time and in full, as per the existing policies and procedures
Identify and actively pursue improvement opportunities to increase the overall efficiency and effectiveness of processes in General Ledger

What are we looking for?

Minimum 1-year accounting experience
Finance/ Economic background and education
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office package (especially Excel) and SAP knowledge is a plus
Good English and Romanian communication skills
