Technical Project Manager

We need a Project Manager to lead one of our web development teams. Your job? Make sure ecommerce and integration projects get delivered on time, on budget, and at a high level of quality. That means keeping developers unblocked, making sure clients know what’s happening, and ensuring that projects keep moving.

This isn’t just a coordination role—you should be technical enough to help solve developer issues, especially when it comes to Shopify, HubSpot integrations, and middleware applications. If you’ve been a developer before, even better. If you’ve managed projects that connect Shopify, HubSpot, CRMs, middleware applications, or third-party APIs, that’s exactly the experience we’re looking for.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Own Shopify, HubSpot, and integration projects from start to finish. Planning, execution, and delivery.
• Work with clients. You’re the bridge between customers, marketing teams, and developers, making sure everyone is aligned.
• Keep things moving. Set deadlines, manage risks, and adjust when needed to stay on track.
• Solve technical challenges. If a developer is stuck, you should be able to step in and help with troubleshooting or requirements.
• Optimize and improve. Work with other Project Managers to improve how Computan delivers projects.
• Talk shop with clients. They’ll have questions about Shopify, HubSpot, CRMs, middleware applications, and API connections—you should be able to guide them.

What You Should Bring

• 3-5 years of experience managing ecommerce and integration projects.
• A technical background—you’ve either been a developer before or worked closely with dev teams.
• Experience with Shopify development, HubSpot integrations, and middleware applications.
• Familiarity with project management tools like JIRA, Asana, GitHub, ClickUp, Zoom, or Teams.
• Leadership skills. You’re comfortable taking ownership, making decisions, and keeping teams on track.
• A problem-solving mindset. When things go wrong, you don’t panic—you figure out solutions.
• Excellent communication skills. You can explain technical things to non-technical clients and vice versa.
• PMP, Scrum Master, or other certifications? Great, but not required. Experience matters more.
• Fluent in English. You’ll be working with teams and clients across multiple time zones.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of technical projects from initiation to completion.
• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets, and track progress against them.
• Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, and implement mitigation strategies as needed.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor project performance and quality and implement corrective actions as necessary to ensure project objectives are met.
•  Manage stakeholder expectations and provide regular project status updates and reports.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to optimize processes, tools, and workflows.
• Ensure compliance with relevant policies, regulations, and industry standards.
• Mentor and coach team members, fostering their professional growth and development.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field; master's degree preferred.
• Proven experience (3-5 years) in technical project management, preferably in software industry.  
• Solid understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., JIRA, Asana, Teamwork, Clickup, Zoom, Teams or similar collaboration tools).
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and influence cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Analytical mindset with a keen attention to detail.
• PMP, Scrum Master, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
• Advanced fluency in written and spoken English
• Demonstrated experience communicating with clients and colleagues in multiple time zones and various ethnicities.
