We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Medical Billing Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling the entire billing cycle, ensuring accurate claim submissions, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work under deadlines, and proficiency in medical billing software.

Key Responsibilities

Review and verify patient information, medical records, and insurance details for accuracy.
Prepare, submit, and follow up on insurance claims to ensure timely reimbursement.
Resolve claim denials, rejections, and discrepancies in a timely manner.
Post payments accurately to patient accounts and reconcile billing reports.
Collaborate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients to address billing inquiries and resolve outstanding accounts.
Maintain compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare regulations.
Analyze accounts receivable reports and ensure billing goals are met.
Stay updated on changes in billing regulations, insurance guidelines, and coding standards.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
Experience: Minimum of [X] years of medical billing experience, preferably in [specialization, e.g., outpatient, hospital, or specialty care].
Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding.
Proficiency in medical billing software (e.g., Kareo, eClinicalWorks, Athenahealth, or others).
Strong knowledge of insurance guidelines, EOBs, and AR management.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to multitask and manage deadlines effectively.
