This full-time position, based in Naushero Feroz, Pakistan, offers an opportunity to lead district-level malaria program operations within the health sector. The role requires 4 to 5 years of relevant experience working with international, national organizations, and government agencies. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing program activities, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring the effective delivery of malaria prevention and treatment services in the district.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the TIH district malaria office and warehouse team at the district level. Maintain close communication with district counterparts on all technical and operational aspects of the malaria program. Develop quarterly and monthly District Implementation Plans (DIP) aligned with the approved Work Plan (WP) and Project Framework (PF), submitting them for approval to the Provincial Manager and PMU Islamabad.
Provide regular updates on project activities to the Provincial Office and PMU Islamabad. Coordinate with district health authorities to identify malaria diagnostic and treatment centers, ensuring these facilities adhere to agreed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for prevention and treatment services. Identify 25 private health centers for malaria intervention in collaboration with district health authorities.
Organize capacity-building trainings, workshops, and meetings for staff at public and private health facilities related to various grant interventions. Monitor logistic supplies to maintain proper inventory management. Regularly convene malaria coordination meetings at the district level, document meeting minutes, share them with the Provincial Office, and follow up on action points.
Ensure timely collection of monthly facility reports and prepare the District Monthly Report for submission to the Provincial Office. Collaborate with provincial teams to conduct needs assessments and surveys. Maintain all program databases, including DHIS2/MIS, training, and logistics data, at the district level.
Provide technical and logistical support to reactivate nonfunctional malaria diagnostic centers. Participate in training sessions arranged by PMU Islamabad. Conduct monitoring and supervisory visits to health facilities delivering malaria-related services. Adhere strictly to monthly and quarterly program implementation plans and prepare monthly reports as required. Provide organized data for quarterly progress updates to PMU Islamabad. Perform any other program-related tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications
A minimum of 4 to 5 years of experience in the health sector, with demonstrated work alongside international, national organizations, and government agencies in a similar role. Strong knowledge of malaria prevention, diagnosis, and treatment protocols is essential. Proven experience in program management, coordination, and reporting is required.
The candidate must be able to work collaboratively with district health authorities and private sector health centers. Proficiency in maintaining program databases such as DHIS2/MIS is necessary. Excellent organizational, communication, and supervisory skills are critical for success in this role.
