DevOps Engineer

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer who possesses a deep understanding of Linux fundamentals, scripting languages, and cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will help streamline our development and operational processes by managing and optimizing our cloud environments in AWS and Google Cloud Platform.

This role involves working collaboratively with software developers to facilitate code releases and ensure smooth deployment of services. You will also monitor systems for continual availability, troubleshoot issues, and implement best practices in security and logging. Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the DevOps team and software developers to ensure seamless code releases and service deployments.
Administer and deploy Linux server instances remotely, maintaining optimal system performance.
Manage cloud environments using AWS and Google Cloud Platform to ensure efficient resource utilization.
Implement monitoring systems and practices to maintain 24x7 operational availability.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to system and application configurations swiftly.
Utilize scripting languages to automate repetitive tasks and streamline workflows.
Implement Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools such as GitLab and Jenkins.
Evaluate and enhance monitoring and logging processes, leveraging tools such as the ELK Stack.
Apply security best practices to safeguard data and infrastructure against potential vulnerabilities.
Maintain version control systems to ensure proper code management and collaboration.
Provide support for system usage and application configuration troubleshooting.
Stay updated on the latest DevOps trends and technologies to continuously improve practices.

To realize the potential of this emerging new economy, Dukan.pk has launched a custom built app to help 5 million MSMEs (micro, small and medium enterprises) in Pakistan to digitize their business using a simple smartphone. The Dukan app enables micro and small sellers with a full-stack e-commerce platform that not only enables online selling, but also online payments, locally integrated delivery options, online marketing and access to sales and stock performance insights through the app. Managing khata, ordering stock from wholesalers and a dedicated POS for retail stores are some of the key features of the Dukan app, designed to enable and digitize the $160 Billion distribution and retail market in Pakistan. Retailers are also able to access credit, by applying for a loan through the Dukan app, for purchasing stock without affecting their cash flows.
