EDI Architect

We are looking for a highly skilled IT professional with over seven years of experience to join our team based in Noida or Hyderabad. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the external integration landscape, working with applications such as Sterling B2B Integrator, Lightwell/Eliassen Framework, Sterling Secure Proxy & Authentication Server, and IBM MQ. This role requires supporting system operations, performing server administration tasks, and collaborating closely with EDI development and support teams to ensure smooth customer integrations and optimal system performance.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and improve external integration systems including Sterling B2B Integrator, Lightwell/Eliassen Framework, Sterling Secure Proxy & Authentication Server, and IBM MQ. Support operational activities from both platform and application perspectives to ensure system reliability. Perform server administration tasks such as upgrades, patch installations, and disaster recovery testing to maintain system integrity. Assist EDI Development and Support Teams with both new and existing customer integrations, ensuring seamless data exchange. Create and maintain generic objects like Business Processes (BPs), Maps, and Workflows to support EDI development efforts. Develop and update technical documentation to reflect system changes and configurations. Collaborate with EDI Developers and Business Owners to translate customer and business requirements into clear technical specifications. Research and troubleshoot production EDI system issues in partnership with the EDI Support team to minimize downtime. Install and document new products added to the EDI landscape, ensuring proper integration. Deploy code and configurations into production environments using both legacy and DevOps methodologies. Participate actively in EDI modernization initiatives, including migrations from on-premise systems to containerized environments and Kubernetes on cloud platforms.

Required Qualifications

A minimum of seven years’ experience in EDI, solution, and application architecture is essential. Strong expertise in Sterling Integrator, including creating and troubleshooting business processes and maps (SI and ITX), is required. Proficiency with ITX/ITXA, Design Studio, and Design Server for map creation and troubleshooting is expected. Experience with Sterling Secure Proxy and Sterling External Authentication Services is necessary. Cloud experience, preferably with Azure or AWS, including familiarity with Kubernetes (especially Azure Kubernetes Service) and containerization within Sterling Integrator, is important. Awareness of DevOps concepts and practices is required. Experience working with IBM MQ is essential. Ability to work with solution and technical design documentation is necessary. A basic understanding of network topology and related concepts is required. The candidate should be highly organized, self-motivated, and possess strong problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications and Additional Skills

Experience with Agile methodologies is advantageous. Hands-on experience configuring and working in containerized environments with Sterling Integrator is preferred. Familiarity with DevOps tools and processes related to EDI, including BitBucket, Jenkins, Ansible, and Groovy, is beneficial. Knowledge of the Lightwell Framework integrated with Sterling Integrator is a plus. Experience with database systems such as DB2, MS SQL, or Oracle is desirable. Exposure to Jarvis monitoring tools will be an added advantage. Proficiency with AIX/Linux operating systems, Jira/Confluence, and Confluent Kafka is preferred. Strong mentorship capabilities to guide and develop team members are valued. Excellent teamwork skills combined with the ability to work independently are essential. Clear verbal and written communication skills are required for effective collaboration with stakeholders. Adaptability to dynamic environments, strong time management, conflict resolution abilities, and keen attention to detail will contribute to success in this role.
