We are seeking a Technical Support Engineer to provide technical assistance and support to our customers. As a Technical Support Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that our customers receive prompt and efficient service for any technical issues they may encounter. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Responding to customer queries via email, phone, or in-person.
  • Troubleshooting network connectivity issues, both in-house and at the customer's location.
  • Diagnosing hardware and software faults and providing solutions.
  • Escalating complex technical issues to the relevant team members.
  • Testing and evaluating new technologies to improve our services.
  • Documenting customer issues and resolutions in the company's database.
  • Assisting with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network equipment and software.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a technical support role, preferably in an ISP or telecommunications company.
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, etc.).
  • Experience with troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience with Linux/Unix systems is a plus.
  • Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or similar are preferred.
