We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage day-to-day financial operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, month-end closing activities, and preparation of key financial statements such as income statements and balance sheets. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable (AP):
- Process vendor invoices, match with purchase orders, and ensure timely payments.
- Maintain accurate records of accounts payable and resolve any discrepancies with vendors.
- Prepare aging reports and manage payment cycles.
Accounts Receivable (AR):
- Generate customer invoices and track incoming payments.
- Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on past-due accounts.
- Reconcile customer accounts and process credit memos or adjustments as needed.
Month-End Closing:
- Perform month-end closing activities including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals.
- Ensure all transactions are recorded in compliance with GAAP.
- Support in compiling financial data for monthly reporting.
Income & Expenditure Analysis:
- Monitor and report on monthly income and expenditure.
- Analyse variances from budget and provide commentary.
- Assist in developing forecasts and financial plans.
Financial Statements & Balance Sheet:
- Prepare accurate balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Ensure financial reports reflect a true and fair view of the company’s financial position.
- Reconcile all ledger balances and maintain supporting documentation.
