Noor Hospital, situated on Adyala Road in Rawalpindi, is inviting applications for a full-time Medical Officer/General Physician position. This role is designated for a male candidate to cover night shifts. The successful applicant will have a solid foundation in primary care, emergency room, or ICU environments and must be adept at managing patients of all ages. The position requires delivering comprehensive medical care, including diagnosis, treatment, and referrals, while maintaining composure and professionalism during acute medical emergencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and treat patients presenting with a wide range of illnesses and injuries across all age groups.
- Perform detailed patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, conducting diagnoses, ordering necessary investigations, and formulating appropriate treatment plans.
- Administer first aid, manage medical conditions, and conduct risk assessments as required.
- Handle acute medical emergencies calmly and efficiently to avoid panic.
- Prescribe and monitor medications, ensuring proper management of drug interactions, side effects, and optimal usage.
- Order and interpret laboratory tests to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment.
- Refer patients to specialists or other healthcare providers when necessary.
- Maintain accurate, thorough, and up-to-date patient records in compliance with hospital standards.
Required Qualifications:
- MBBS degree from a recognized medical institution.
- Valid registration and license with the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PMDC/PMC).
- Minimum of two years’ experience in primary care, emergency room, or ICU settings within reputable hospitals or clinics.
- Competence in managing patients across all age groups.
- Clinical experience in Internal Medicine, Urology, Psychiatry, and Emergency Medicine.
- Strong skills in first aid, medical management, and risk assessment.
- Willingness and ability to work night shifts consistently.
- Reliable transportation or readiness to relocate to Rawalpindi before commencing employment.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits:
- A doctorate degree is preferred but not mandatory.
- At least two years of clinical experience in ICU or emergency settings is highly advantageous.
