Injection Molding Maintenance Manager

The Injection Molding Maintenance Manager at Haier is responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations of injection molding machines, molds, and related utilities. This role emphasizes maximizing equipment uptime while managing a maintenance team of five individuals. The successful candidate will ensure that preventive maintenance schedules are executed efficiently, troubleshoot breakdowns effectively, and manage spare parts inventory to support the production process. In addition, the manager promotes a culture of safety and compliance, ensuring that all works align with workplace standards and practices while developing their team's skills through training programs and performance benchmarks.
Responsibilities

Plan, implement, and oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance schedules for injection molding machinery and molds.
Minimize unplanned downtime by conducting timely troubleshooting and performing root cause analyses to address machine breakdowns.
Quickly resolve equipment issues to ensure uninterrupted production processes.
Monitor the performance of molds and machines, analyzing wear patterns and cycle times to preempt potential failures.
Collaborate with molding and engineering teams to resolve technical issues and propose long-term solutions.
Maintain a well-stocked inventory of critical mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic spare parts.
Coordinate with production planning and procurement teams to manage stock levels effectively, avoiding disruptions in maintenance operations.
Supervise maintenance of auxiliary systems such as chillers, compressors, and dryers, ensuring optimal performance with regular checks.
Lead the maintenance team by developing training programs that enhance their technical skills and professional growth.
Establish performance benchmarks for the team, conduct assessments, and foster a culture of accountability and ownership.
Enforce workplace safety protocols and preventive measures to minimize risks among team members.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, ISO standards, and company standard operating procedures throughout all maintenance activities.
Promote 6S practices in maintenance areas to improve organization and efficiency.
Collaborate with production and engineering teams during new mold installations, machine modifications, and process improvements.
Provide technical guidance in the vendor selection process, equipment specifications, and new installations.
Prepare and manage the annual maintenance budget, including tracking labor, parts, and service contracts.
Monitor maintenance costs, identifying opportunities for savings while ensuring reliability and quality.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and breakdown incidents for accurate reporting.
Generate and report key performance indicators such as Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) and Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF).
Perform any other tasks or responsibilities assigned by the Factory Manager or Technical Director.
