We are looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused Airline Ticketing Officer to join our travel team. The successful candidate will be responsible for booking, issuing, and managing domestic and international airline tickets for clients. You will work with airline systems (e.g., Galileo, Amadeus, Sabre) to provide the most efficient and cost-effective travel options while ensuring top-notch customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Book and issue airline tickets through GDS systems (Galileo, Amadeus, Sabre, etc.)
Provide clients with best routing and fare options as per their travel needs.
Handle reservations, cancellations, reissues, and refunds as per airline policies.
Maintain updated knowledge of airline fare rules, promotions, and travel regulations.
Assist customers with visa-related queries and travel documentation requirements.
Ensure proper documentation of transactions and maintain daily sales records.
Coordinate with airlines and suppliers to resolve any ticketing or reservation issues.
Provide prompt and professional customer service via phone, email, and in-person.
Requirements:
Education: Intermediate/A- Level or higher.
Qualification in Travel, Tourism, Business, or a related field is a plus.
Experience: Minimum 1–3 years of experience in airline ticketing or travel agency.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in at least one GDS (Galileo, Amadeus, or Sabre)
Good knowledge of fare calculations, ticketing procedures, and airline policies
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
Ability to multitask and handle pressure during peak travel seasons
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in IATA/UFTAA or equivalent ticketing training
Experience in group bookings or corporate travel accounts
Familiarity with hotel bookings, travel insurance, and visa consultancy is a plus
