Lab 8 is a premium content execution company dedicated to helping high-growth brands develop repeatable systems for publishing videos, posts, and creative content on a weekly basis. We are looking for a Head of Operations to lead our internal teams and oversee all operational aspects of the business. This role demands a structured, accountable, and clear-minded leader who can ensure smooth workflows and timely, high-quality deliverables for clients. The position is fully remote and offers a competitive starting salary of Rs250,000 per month.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations related to client delivery and internal execution, ensuring all processes run efficiently. Lead a cross-functional team comprising creatives, writers, editors, and project managers to meet production goals. Develop and continuously improve internal systems and workflows using tools like Notion and Airtable. Manage weekly and monthly production schedules to guarantee on-time delivery. Ensure all client deliverables align with scope, brand standards, and deadlines. Hold team members accountable for clear outcomes and performance expectations. Communicate priorities, updates, and blockers effectively across the team. Make swift decisions that balance quality and speed. Recruit, onboard, and manage team members to support company growth. Analyze performance data regularly to identify bottlenecks and implement solutions.
Required Qualifications
A minimum of 5 years’ experience leading operations or delivery within a content, agency, or marketing environment is essential. Proven ability to manage remote teams and creative workflows effectively. Demonstrated success in building workflows, managing timelines, and driving accountability across teams. Exceptional communication and leadership skills are required to maintain clarity and motivation. Proficiency with collaboration and project management tools such as Notion, Airtable, Slack, and Google Drive. Experience managing both creative talent and operational staff. A strong commitment to systems and processes to avoid chaos. An outcome-focused mindset combined with clear thinking and calm energy under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Experience scaling a service business or agency is highly valued. Background in producing short-form video content, managing content calendars, or running social media campaigns is a plus. Familiarity with AI tools used in content creation or project delivery is advantageous. Knowledge of paid advertising creative, organic content strategies, and social media execution will be beneficial. Skilled in conducting structured meetings, team check-ins, and performance reviews to maintain team alignment and growth.
Within the first 90 days, success will be measured by consistent and timely delivery of content to all clients, clear understanding of expectations and deadlines among team members, strict adherence to internal systems without founder intervention, smooth handoffs and approval processes, and maintaining creative quality with no missed deliverables. Ultimately, the Head of Operations will relieve the founder from day-to-day operational tasks, allowing focus on business growth.
Candidates should be ready to discuss their experience with remote team tools, managing team sizes, project scheduling methods, and prior content or agency operations experience. Availability to overlap at least four hours daily with Eastern Standard Time (EST) is required. Fluency in English is essential.
