The HR Generalist for the Mehar Project at NJV School will be an integral part of the human resources team, responsible for supporting daily HR operations. This role requires managing various functions such as recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, performance management, and general HR administration. The successful candidate will be proactive, people-oriented, and possess strong communication and organizational skills to help maintain a positive, compliant, and high-performing workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the full recruitment cycle, including creating job postings, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and onboarding new hires. Maintain and update employee records and HR databases, ensuring all information is accurate and confidential while complying with organizational policies. Support employee orientation and induction programs to ensure new staff integrate smoothly into the organization. Manage timely documentation and processing of HR activities such as attendance tracking, leave management, and payroll inputs. Respond to employee inquiries, providing clear and consistent guidance on HR policies and procedures. Coordinate performance management processes, including evaluation cycles and feedback collection. Monitor compliance with organizational policies, labor laws, and project-specific requirements. Assist in organizing staff training sessions, development initiatives, and wellness programs. Prepare HR reports and support audits or documentation requests from donors or partners as required.
Required Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field is essential. Candidates should have 2 to 4 years of relevant HR experience, preferably in education, nonprofit, or project-based environments. A strong understanding of labor laws and HR best practices is necessary. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are required. Proficiency in MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is expected, and familiarity with HRIS systems is a plus. The ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity is critical. Candidates must be well-organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities efficiently.
