We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with over four years of experience in mechanical design and engineering, specifically within EPC projects. The successful candidate will have a strong background in interpreting and verifying mechanical and civil fabrication drawings related to piping, piping isometrics, pressure vessels, and tanks. This role demands proficiency in preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQ) based on project drawings, along with hands-on experience using mechanical design software. This is a full-time position requiring on-site presence to actively participate in project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and verify civil and mechanical fabrication drawings for piping systems, piping isometrics, pressure vessels, and tanks, ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Prepare accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQ) by analyzing engineering drawings to support project procurement and planning.
- Apply relevant design codes to guarantee that all designs meet industry standards and safety requirements.
- Utilize mechanical design software such as AutoCAD 2D, AutoCAD 3D, and SolidWorks to create, modify, and finalize engineering drawings.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary project teams to support the engineering and design phases throughout EPC project lifecycles.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- At least four years of professional experience in mechanical design and engineering within EPC projects.
- Proficiency in mechanical design software, including AutoCAD (both 2D and 3D) and SolidWorks.
- Strong knowledge of design codes applicable to mechanical and civil engineering projects.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and verify fabrication drawings for piping, pressure vessels, and tanks with precision.
- Experience in preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQ) derived from engineering drawings.
