Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Mechanical Equipment Handler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing heavy mechanical loads of plant and equipment while adhering strictly to safety protocols. This role demands hands-on involvement in maintaining lifting tools, performing routine machinery maintenance, and supporting operational efficiency. The successful candidate will work closely with the Line Manager and contribute to a safe and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Safely handle heavy mechanical loads related to plant and equipment operations, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and protocols.
- Maintain lifting tools and equipment in optimal working condition through regular inspections and servicing.
- Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on machinery to minimize downtime and ensure continuous, smooth operation.
- Perform safety checks on machinery and tools, verifying their proper functioning before use.
- Possess a thorough understanding of rigging studies and crane capacities at various lifting points to ensure safe load handling.
- Be knowledgeable about load testing procedures for rigging equipment to guarantee reliability and safety.
- Provide assistance to the Line Manager with other operational assignments as required, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.
