Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Cloud Security Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a wide range of cloud security controls and monitoring processes to safeguard our cloud environments and e-commerce platforms. This role requires close collaboration with security architecture, DevOps, engineering teams, and external security partners to enhance our security posture, ensure compliance with policies, and mitigate risks effectively. The successful candidate will also lead technical projects, provide mentorship, and support automation efforts within an Agile development framework.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate and manage diverse cloud security tools, including Web Application Firewalls (WAF), Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS), Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM), network observability, and cloud security/compliance monitoring frameworks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as security architecture, DevOps, engineering, and third-party security partners to continuously improve security measures and ensure policy adherence.
- Analyze application and infrastructure logs to detect suspicious activities or anomalies that may indicate security threats.
- Manage network traffic flow and security configurations, including Network Access Control Lists (NACLs), transit gateways, peers, direct connects, and security groups.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments on infrastructure and applications, implementing timely remediation actions to reduce risk exposure.
- Administer AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) permissions aligned with defined roles and responsibilities to maintain strict access controls.
- Ensure robust security for e-commerce platforms by enforcing data encryption, managing security groups, and performing regular environment scans.
- Support automation initiatives for AWS resource provisioning and management, emphasizing the use of immutable compute resources to enhance security and efficiency.
- Manage Linux-based operating systems and oversee associated vulnerability management processes to maintain system integrity.
- Support micro-service architectures by managing service registry, authentication, authorization, and auditing mechanisms.
- Employ infrastructure as code practices using scripting languages such as Python or equivalent tools to automate security and operational tasks.
- Apply Agile product development methodologies, including authoring user stories, estimating story points, and actively participating in sprint planning and retrospectives.
- Perform advanced technical troubleshooting for cloud and e-commerce security environments to resolve complex issues swiftly.
- Participate in incident response exercises, maintaining up-to-date documentation for security protocols and incident handling procedures.
- Lead technical projects from initiation through completion, serving as the technical lead and ensuring successful delivery.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering professional growth and knowledge sharing.
- Manage daily operational security controls and conduct continuous monitoring activities to maintain a secure cloud environment.

Required Qualifications
- Proven experience operating cloud security controls and tools such as WAF, IDS/IPS, CSPM, and cloud compliance monitoring frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of AWS services, including IAM, network security components (NACLs, security groups), and resource provisioning automation.
- Proficiency in analyzing logs and identifying security anomalies within cloud and e-commerce environments.
- Experience managing Linux-based systems and vulnerability management processes.
- Familiarity with micro-service architectures and associated security mechanisms (authentication, authorization, auditing).
- Skilled in infrastructure as code and scripting languages, preferably Python.
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies, including story creation, estimation, and sprint participation.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects and mentor junior staff.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills for complex cloud and e-commerce security issues.
- Experience with incident response planning and documentation.
