Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Commercial Finance Support Analyst to join our team. This role is pivotal in supporting Commercial Finance Executives by analyzing Trade and Marketing financials and key performance indicators to drive informed decision-making and optimize marketing spend efficiency. The ideal candidate will be involved in month-end closing activities, budgeting, forecasting, and maintaining accurate financial records in alignment with International Accounting Standards. This position requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in financial systems, and effective communication to collaborate with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Commercial Finance Executives by analyzing Trade and Marketing financial data and key performance indicators, enabling effective decision-making and enhancing marketing spend efficiency.
- Actively participate in month-end closing activities related to P&L items such as revenue, gross margin, and marketing investments, including accruals and journal postings.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, plans, and forecasts, providing timely and accurate data to monitor ongoing Trade Team performance.
- Track and monitor actual marketing investment spend against budgets, identifying discrepancies and recommending corrective actions as needed.
- Support and execute month-end and quarterly closing processes, including journal entries, accounting postings, and intercompany recharges.
- Maintain master data with a focus on accuracy and consistency to ensure reliable financial reporting.
- Review pricing memos and manage the release of pricing in the ECC system.
- Update pricing and trading terms within the BPC system to reflect current agreements.
- Create Purchase Orders (POs) and manage open items to ensure smooth procurement and payment processes.
- Manage customer rebates and perform reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
- Generate P&L and profitability reports by customer to provide insights into business performance.
- Prepare cash flow projections by consolidating inputs from Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial accounts, complying with International Accounting Standards and adhering to proper authorization protocols.
- Provide ad hoc support to Commercial Finance Managers, Executives, and Trade/Marketing teams as required.
Required Qualifications
- Basic understanding of finance and accounting principles, with the ability to apply them in daily tasks.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentation purposes.
- Excellent communication skills in English, capable of engaging effectively with stakeholders across virtual platforms.
- Self-motivated and proactive mindset, with the ability to manage responsibilities independently and deliver results without constant supervision.
