Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated IT Support Specialist to provide first-level technical assistance and ensure smooth operation of our client’s IT infrastructure. This role involves managing and resolving system-related issues, supporting end-users, and maintaining compliance with security standards. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver first-level support for a variety of system-related issues, including LAN connectivity, Active Directory management, Proxy services, Email Server functionality, Antivirus protection, and overall security measures.
- Manage and prioritize service requests and workflows efficiently through the client’s call ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution and communication.
- Perform software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting to assist end-users with technical challenges.
- Follow directions from the IT Support team leader to execute assigned IT support tasks effectively.
- Install and configure network printers, ensuring seamless connectivity and usability across the organization.
- Provide general desktop support, coordinate IT-related projects, and assist with office move activities to maintain operational continuity.
- Monitor system performance and reliability, analyze issues, and implement corrective actions to prevent downtime.
- Investigate problems thoroughly, develop innovative solutions, and evaluate risks and benefits associated with proposed changes.
- Ensure compliance with intellectual property policies, technical standards, and security controls relevant to the client’s environment.
- Document procedures and processes related to supported systems and applications to maintain clear and accessible knowledge bases.
- Staff the help desk as required, providing prompt and professional assistance to users.
- Stay informed about technological advancements and changes in the client’s operating environment to anticipate and mitigate potential impacts.
- Adhere strictly to company standards, including Information Security Management System (ISMS) and HIPAA regulations, to safeguard data and systems.
- Report any security weaknesses or incidents promptly through established information security incident and weakness reporting channels.
