Job Summary
The Assistant IT Officer is a crucial member of the IT department, responsible for managing, maintaining, and enhancing the organization’s IT systems and infrastructure. This role involves providing technical support, assisting with system administration, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring smooth daily IT operations across all departments. The ideal candidate will support network connectivity, ERP systems, and biometric attendance integration while collaborating with various teams to uphold IT standards and security.
Key Responsibilities
Provide first-line technical support across the organization for hardware, software, network, systems, and ERP-related issues. You will install, configure, and maintain computer systems, including hardware, Windows/Linux operating systems, and essential business applications.
Manage and support LAN, WAN, internet connectivity, and network hardware such as routers, switches, and firewalls to ensure uninterrupted network performance. Oversee ERP system operations by managing user access, troubleshooting issues, maintaining data integrity, and integrating attendance and operational modules seamlessly.
Set up and maintain biometric attendance systems with real-time ERP integration to enable accurate employee tracking and reporting. Deliver timely IT feedback to relevant personnel and department managers regarding incidents, resolutions, or pending issues, ensuring transparency and prompt communication.
Monitor and maintain IT inventory, keeping accurate records of hardware, software, and license compliance. Assist with server maintenance, data backup, disaster recovery plans, and enforce IT security protocols and data protection policies to safeguard organizational data.
Document IT procedures, system configurations, troubleshooting steps, and user manuals for internal use and audit purposes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams during new project setups, infrastructure rollouts, and site expansions to ensure IT readiness and support.
Train employees on ERP usage, basic IT protocols, and safe computing practices to enhance overall IT literacy within the organization. Act as the primary liaison for vendors and service providers regarding procurement, annual maintenance contracts (AMC), and technical support.
Stay informed about emerging technologies relevant to the real estate and corporate sectors, recommending system upgrades to improve operational efficiency. Ensure timely resolution of IT tickets, maintain detailed logs, and support compliance with internal IT policies.
Required Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is essential. Candidates should have 4–5 years of hands-on experience in IT support, preferably in a corporate or real estate environment.
Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems, network troubleshooting, and system configuration is required. Working knowledge of Active Directory, Office 365, antivirus solutions, data backup tools, and basic server administration is necessary.
Experience with ERP systems, especially those related to real estate operations, attendance, finance, or HR modules, is critical. Candidates must be skilled in configuring and networking biometric attendance machines with accurate ERP synchronization.
Strong communication and documentation skills are vital, with the ability to provide clear, actionable feedback to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The role demands a detail-oriented, organized professional capable of working independently and collaboratively.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Familiarity with ITIL-based support practices and helpdesk/ticketing systems is advantageous. Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, CCNA, or Microsoft certifications are highly desirable.
The role may require occasional travel and after-hours support. This is a full-time, office-based position with on-site support responsibilities.
The position offers a competitive monthly salary ranging from Rs40,000 to Rs55,000. The work location is strictly in person.
