Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Educator to join our team and support children with learning difficulties, developmental delays, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, and other diverse needs. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing individualized educational plans (IEPs), employing adaptive teaching strategies, and collaborating closely with families and professionals. This role demands a strong commitment to inclusive education and the ability to customize learning experiences to meet each student’s unique requirements, helping them achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify each child’s learning difficulties, academic levels, and developmental challenges.
- Develop and implement tailored Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) that align with the child’s abilities and educational goals.
- Use multisensory and differentiated teaching methods such as visual schedules, structured tasks, and hands-on activities to effectively support children with special needs.
- Adapt and modify curriculum content to ensure it is accessible and engaging for all learners.
- Monitor student progress regularly, maintaining detailed documentation and adjusting teaching strategies as needed to optimize learning outcomes.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including occupational therapists, speech therapists, behavioral specialists, parents, and mainstream teachers to provide integrated support.
- Conduct remedial sessions for children with specific learning disabilities such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia.
- Provide consistent and constructive feedback to families, actively participating in parent-teacher meetings and case conferences to discuss progress and strategies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education (B.Ed or M.Ed in Special Education) is essential.
- Candidates currently pursuing special education certification may be considered for internship opportunities.
- Fresh graduates with internship or practicum experience in special education are encouraged to apply.
- Experienced educators with 1 to 5+ years of relevant experience will be considered for senior-level roles.
Preferred Skills and Attributes
- A strong understanding of child development and various learning disorders is crucial.
- Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills are necessary to effectively engage with children and families.
- Proficiency in classroom management and behavioral support techniques is highly valued.
- Familiarity with assistive technology and inclusive education practices will be an advantage.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive support.

Salary: Rs 35,000 - Rs 40,000 per month
