Job Summary
United Track System (UTS), a prominent member of United International Group (UIG) in Pakistan, specializes in advanced vehicle tracking, asset tracking, fuel monitoring, in-cabin video surveillance, Genset monitoring, and personal tracking solutions. As a leading Vehicle Tracking Solution (VTS) provider, UTS fosters a dynamic and innovative work environment within its IT, Engineering, and Planning departments. The company is currently seeking a highly skilled GIS professional to join their Lahore office on a full-time basis. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge tracking technologies while working in a stable and growth-oriented organization.

Key Responsibilities
The GIS professional will be responsible for managing and overseeing GIS projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet deadlines and maintain high-quality standards. Leading a team of GIS specialists, the candidate will promote collaboration and support professional development within the team. Proficiency in GIS software such as ArcGIS and QGIS is essential for conducting spatial data analysis, modeling, and visualization tasks.

Maintaining and optimizing spatial databases to ensure data accuracy and integrity is a critical part of the role. The candidate will also implement cloud-based GIS solutions where applicable to improve operational efficiency. Budget preparation and management will be required to ensure cost-effective allocation of resources throughout project lifecycles.

Effective communication with cross-functional teams and stakeholders is necessary to align GIS initiatives with broader organizational goals. The role demands the ability to analyze complex spatial data to generate actionable insights that support informed decision-making processes.

Required Qualifications
Candidates must hold at least a Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, or a related discipline, with a Master’s degree considered an advantage. A minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in GIS management is required, demonstrating strong leadership and project management skills.

Expertise in GIS software, including ArcGIS Pro and QGIS, as well as database management tools like PostgreSQL, is essential. A solid understanding of spatial analysis, data modeling, and visualization techniques is also required.

Strong leadership qualities, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills are necessary to effectively manage teams and collaborate across departments. The candidate should have a proven track record of managing budgets and delivering projects within scope and deadlines.

Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities are crucial, along with the capacity to work independently and as part of a team. Effective organizational and time management skills are needed to handle multiple priorities efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Experience with cloud-based GIS platforms will be considered an advantage. This position offers the chance to work with a leading company in the vehicle tracking industry, providing exposure to innovative technologies and solutions.

The salary range for this role is competitive, between Rs50,000 and Rs60,000 per month, with the possibility of negotiation during the interview process. The role is based in Lahore and requires in-person attendance.
