Job Summary

We are looking for a meticulous and experienced professional to oversee procurement operations within our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing procurement workflows through ERP systems, placing daily orders for raw materials and accessories, and ensuring the timely approval and processing of purchase orders. This role demands close collaboration with suppliers and internal departments to maintain optimal inventory levels, supporting uninterrupted production schedules and overall operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

The primary responsibility is to operate ERP systems, preferably Oracle, to manage procurement workflows effectively. This includes generating purchase orders (POs) and ensuring their timely approval and processing to avoid any delays in the supply chain. The candidate will place daily orders for raw materials, trims, and accessories, coordinating closely with suppliers, store personnel, and relevant internal departments.

Inventory management is a critical aspect of this role. The candidate will monitor raw material stock levels to maintain an optimal balance—preventing both shortages that could halt production and excess inventory that ties up capital. Ensuring that all received materials meet required specifications and quality standards is essential, adhering strictly to internal protocols.

A strong understanding of textile materials, including yarns, dyes, chemicals, and manufacturing processes such as weaving, dyeing, and finishing, is necessary to perform this role effectively. The candidate will work in close coordination with supply chain, procurement, and production teams to ensure a seamless workflow and timely fulfillment of orders.

Additionally, the role involves generating accurate and insightful reports on material status, inventory control, and supplier performance. Proficiency in Oracle and Microsoft Excel will be crucial to produce these reports and support data-driven decision-making.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must have a minimum of five years’ experience in a similar procurement role within the manufacturing or textile industry. Proficiency in ERP systems, particularly Oracle, for procurement and inventory management is essential. A solid knowledge base of textile materials—including yarns, dyes, chemicals—and manufacturing processes is required to ensure quality and operational efficiency.

Strong coordination and communication skills are vital to work effectively with suppliers and internal teams, fostering collaboration and timely resolution of procurement issues. The ability to generate detailed reports using Microsoft Excel and other relevant software tools is also necessary.

While a bachelor’s degree is preferred, it is not mandatory for this position.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred but not a strict requirement. This is a full-time, in-person role offering a monthly compensation of Rs 80,000.
