Job Summary
PwC’s Information Technology Operations team is committed to ensuring the firm’s technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently. This role is centered on monitoring network performance, resolving technical issues, and enforcing strong security protocols. You will primarily provide Level 1—and occasionally Level 2—technical support for non-cloud-based infrastructure. Based in Karachi at A. F. Ferguson & Co., a key member of the PwC network, this position supports core business functions by deploying and managing applications that enhance operational efficiency and service quality. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain IT infrastructure, focusing on network performance monitoring and troubleshooting to ensure seamless operations.
- Deliver Level 1 and Level 2 technical support for IT systems, particularly non-cloud infrastructure components.
- Administer and support Exchange Online and various mail clients including Outlook (Windows and Mac), Lotus Notes, IMAP, POP3, and mobile devices.
- Develop and implement PowerShell scripts to automate Windows configurations and routine processes.
- Oversee Microsoft Windows operating systems (both client and server), handling security and configuration management.
- Manage Active Directory and group policies to maintain secure and efficient user access controls.
- Support virtualization environments leveraging VMware and Microsoft Azure platforms.
- Administer Windows Server security, SAN environments, and virtualized infrastructure components.
- Participate actively in incident, problem, and change management processes to uphold IT service continuity.
- Develop, implement, and test disaster recovery plans to protect critical systems and data integrity.
- Manage Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions, specifically VMware WorkspaceOne.
- Conduct system backups, archiving, and help desk operations to support daily IT functions.
- Assist in system implementation projects, performing due diligence to identify operational risks and recommend technical solutions.
- Create and maintain technical administrative processes that support both existing and new application services.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technology field.
- At least 2 years of experience working in complex technical environments.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals such as TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and routing protocols.
- Hands-on experience with Windows operating systems, Active Directory, group policy management, and virtualization technologies.
- Proven skills in troubleshooting, incident management, and IT operations support.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Certifications like MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert) or MCSA (Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate) are highly desirable.
