Job Summary
We are currently seeking a dedicated Store Officer on a 3-month contractual basis to support one of our critical project sites. The successful candidate will oversee all store-related operations, ensuring efficient management of inventory, timely receipt and issuance of materials, and maintaining accurate stock records in compliance with company standards. This role demands a detail-oriented professional capable of facilitating smooth material flow and maintaining proper documentation to support ongoing project activities.

Key Responsibilities
The Store Officer will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, and verifying all incoming materials against delivery notes to confirm accuracy. Maintaining comprehensive documentation for all materials received and issued is essential. The candidate will organize and manage the inventory systematically within the site store, ensuring cleanliness and orderliness at all times. Timely issuance of materials to relevant departments or teams, in line with project requirements, is a critical function of this role.

Daily updates of stock records, both manually and through digital systems, will be required. The Store Officer will coordinate closely with the procurement team and project management to plan material needs and address any shortages proactively. Periodic stock-taking must be conducted, with any discrepancies reported promptly to maintain inventory integrity. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for upholding safety, security, and cleanliness standards within the storage area throughout the contract period.

Required Qualifications & Experience
Applicants should possess an Intermediate education level or a Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE), preferably in Electrical or Mechanical disciplines. A solid background with 5 to 8 years of experience in storekeeping or warehouse management is essential, ideally within construction or engineering project environments. Familiarity with basic inventory management software or proficiency in Excel-based record-keeping systems is required to effectively manage stock data.

Skills & Competencies
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills and meticulous record-keeping abilities. The ability to work independently, especially at remote project sites, is crucial. Attention to detail combined with a basic understanding of engineering materials will enable accurate handling of inventory. Effective communication skills and the capability to coordinate efficiently with team members and other departments are also necessary for success in this role.

Contract Details and Compensation
This position is project-based and temporary, with an initial contract duration of three months. Depending on performance and project needs, there is potential for contract extension. Working hours will align with the operational schedule of the project site, requiring full-time, in-person attendance. The monthly salary for this role ranges from Rs40,000 to Rs55,000.
