Job Summary
The Quality Control Inspector is essential to upholding the company’s commitment to delivering high-quality products that meet both internal standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves thorough inspection, testing, and evaluation of materials, components, and finished goods throughout various stages of the production process. By identifying defects early and ensuring compliance with quality protocols, the inspector helps prevent substandard products from reaching customers. Key Responsibilities
The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for inspecting incoming raw materials, in-process components, and final products using established procedures and appropriate inspection tools. This includes performing visual, dimensional, and functional inspections to verify that products meet specified quality criteria. Accurate documentation is critical; the inspector completes detailed reports and logs, summarizes rework and waste, and inputs data into the quality management database to maintain traceability and support analysis.
When defective items are identified, the inspector promptly quarantines them and communicates issues to both production and quality teams to enable timely corrective actions. Ensuring the accuracy of inspection tools is also a key duty, requiring verification of calibration status before use. The inspector actively participates in root cause analysis efforts and assists in implementing corrective measures to address non-conformities.
Compliance with ISO standards, company quality policies, and relevant industry regulations is mandatory. The inspector maintains a clean, organized, and safe inspection area to promote operational efficiency and adherence to safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must have proven experience in quality control or inspection roles within a manufacturing or production environment. A strong understanding of inspection techniques, quality standards, and regulatory requirements is essential. The ability to conduct detailed visual and dimensional inspections with precision is required.
Proficiency in documenting inspection results and using quality databases or related software is necessary to ensure accurate record-keeping. Familiarity with ISO standards and quality management systems is expected. Excellent communication skills are important for effectively reporting issues and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
