Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented Industrial Engineer to join our team, focusing on optimizing washing processes within our production environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and monitoring these processes to improve efficiency while reducing chemical and water usage. This role requires close collaboration with multiple departments to ensure smooth operations and meet production goals. The position plays a vital part in driving continuous improvement and supporting lean manufacturing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
The Industrial Engineer will analyze washing processes to identify opportunities for enhancing operational efficiency and minimizing resource consumption, particularly chemicals and water. Conducting time and motion studies will be essential to support line balancing efforts and eliminate non-value-added activities, thereby streamlining workflows.
Additionally, the role involves assisting in the development and regular updating of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all washing operations. This ensures consistent quality and adherence to best practices across the production line. Coordination with production, quality assurance, and washing teams is critical to facilitate seamless workflow and achieve daily and monthly production targets.
Maintaining accurate and detailed reports on washing performance is another key responsibility. This includes tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), chemical usage, and rates of rework or rejection to provide data-driven insights for process improvements. The Industrial Engineer will also actively participate in lean implementation projects and continuous improvement initiatives within the washing section to foster operational excellence.
Ensuring compliance with all relevant safety and environmental regulations in washing-related activities is mandatory. This helps maintain a safe workplace and supports the company’s commitment to sustainability.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must possess a Diploma in Industrial Engineering (IE). This qualification is essential to ensure a strong foundation in industrial engineering principles relevant to the role.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
While a Bachelor’s degree is preferred, it is not mandatory. This position is full-time and requires the candidate to work on-site to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and oversee operations directly.
The role offers a competitive monthly salary ranging from Rs 45,000 to Rs 50,000, reflecting the importance of the position within the production environment.
