Architect I - Software Testing

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Quality Analyst Lead with over 10 years of expertise in software testing and quality assurance, including a minimum of 3 years in leadership or delivery management roles. The ideal candidate will have a strong hands-on background in testing, a thorough understanding of testing methodologies, and demonstrated success in managing QA delivery for complex projects. Expertise in the ServiceNow platform is critical, with knowledge across ITSM, ITOM, CSM, or other modules highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance & Testing:
You will be responsible for designing and executing comprehensive test strategies, plans, and scripts—both manual and automated—focusing on various application modules within ServiceNow. This includes ensuring complete test coverage across functional, integration, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing. Collaboration with business analysts and developers is essential to translate requirements into effective test scenarios. You will lead defect management by logging, tracking, triaging, and driving timely resolution. Additionally, you will perform hands-on testing during critical releases or for complex modules when necessary.

Leadership & Delivery Management:
As a QA Lead, you will manage and mentor a team of QA Analysts, providing guidance and performance feedback to foster growth and high-quality delivery. You will oversee QA delivery planning, execution, and resource allocation to meet project deadlines and quality goals. Working closely with project managers, developers, architects, and product owners, you will ensure seamless collaboration. Active participation in Agile/Scrum ceremonies is required to maintain QA involvement throughout all sprints and releases. Monitoring and reporting on key QA metrics such as test progress, defect leakage, coverage, and quality trends will also be part of your role.

ServiceNow QA Expertise:
You will ensure thorough testing of ServiceNow modules, including custom workflows, UI policies, business rules, and integrations. Validating configurations, workflows, and forms within ServiceNow instances based on user stories and requirements is critical. Familiarity with ServiceNow’s Automated Test Framework (ATF) is advantageous. Supporting the testing of ServiceNow integrations with third-party applications and external systems will also be expected.

Required Qualifications

- Over 10 years of experience in Software Testing and Quality Assurance.
- At least 3 years in a QA Lead or Delivery Management capacity.
- Strong knowledge of QA best practices, test planning, execution, and reporting.
- Proficiency with tools such as JIRA, ALM, Selenium, Postman, and SoapUI.
- Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Expertise in ServiceNow platform and module-level testing.
- Experience in API testing, data validation, and integration testing.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Certifications in ServiceNow Fundamentals or QA tools are preferred.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

Experience working with international clients or distributed Agile teams is highly desirable. Familiarity with automated testing frameworks, especially ServiceNow’s ATF, will be a strong advantage. ISTQB or similar QA certifications are beneficial. Exposure to ITSM, CSM, ITOM, or other ServiceNow modules is strongly preferred.
