Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Fabricator specializing in Solar Structure Installation to join our on-site team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and installing solar panel mounting structures precisely according to design specifications and technical drawings. This role demands accuracy in measurement, cutting, alignment, and assembly to ensure the durability and quality of solar installations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with fabrication tools and machinery, a solid understanding of safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate and install solar panel mounting structures by closely following design plans and technical drawings.
- Perform precise measurement, marking, cutting, and alignment of structural components to meet project requirements.
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings and technical diagrams to guide the installation process accurately.
- Execute drilling, welding, grinding, and finishing tasks essential for assembling robust structures.
- Mount and securely install solar panels on fabricated structures, ensuring proper alignment, strength, and stability.
- Operate various fabrication tools and machinery, including drill machines, cutters, grinders, and welding equipment, safely and effectively.
- Inspect and verify the quality and accuracy of work to ensure compliance with established standards.
- Strictly adhere to all safety protocols throughout the fabrication and installation processes to maintain a safe working environment.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Metric, F.Sc, or Technical Diploma in Mechanical, Welding, Fabrication, or related fields.
- Experience: At least 1 year of practical experience in fabrication and solar structure or panel installation.
- Skills: Proficiency in welding, grinding, and drilling techniques is essential.
- Ability to accurately read and understand fabrication and installation drawings.
- Skilled in precise measurement and alignment of components to ensure structural integrity.
- Good knowledge of tools and equipment commonly used in solar structure fabrication.
- Physically fit and capable of working on rooftops or in open environments, often requiring manual labor.
