Job Summary

Opella, a global leader in the Over-The-Counter (OTC) and Vitamins, Minerals & Supplements (VMS) industry, is seeking a dedicated Master Data Operator - Vendor to join its Hyderabad team. This role is integral to the Global Business Services (GBS) function, focusing on maintaining accurate and compliant vendor master data. Key Responsibilities

The Master Data Operator will be responsible for maintaining vendor master data in line with the highest quality standards established by the Master Data Governance team. This includes ensuring all data maintenance activities adhere strictly to agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and meet the expectations of various stakeholders.

Regular collaboration with the Master Data Governance team is essential to monitor data quality, identify discrepancies, and implement continuous improvement initiatives. The role also involves keeping Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) up to date and conducting annual reviews to block inactive master data, ensuring the database remains current and reliable.

Supporting internal audits related to master data management is a critical part of the role. The operator will also conduct Restricted Party Screening (RPS) activities to mitigate risk by promptly reviewing and resolving positive alerts within the defined SLA. Maintaining and updating the RPS sanction list regularly is required to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Additionally, the operator will participate in escalation meetings with the RPS Escalation Committee to address positive matches, ensuring thorough due diligence and risk mitigation.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must have proven experience in master data management, ideally within financial or supply chain environments. A strong understanding of data governance principles and quality standards is essential to succeed in this role.

The ability to work effectively within defined SLAs while managing expectations across multiple stakeholders is critical. Experience with Restricted Party Screening or similar compliance activities is highly valued.

Attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and strong communication abilities are necessary to maintain data accuracy and support audit processes. Candidates should also be comfortable engaging in continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
