Job Summary
The Inventory Control Officer is a crucial member of the operations team responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory records. This role ensures stock levels are monitored effectively to minimize losses and support seamless business operations. The officer will conduct regular audits, coordinate closely with procurement and warehouse teams, and oversee proper storage and handling of inventory to meet organizational demands efficiently. Attention to detail, accuracy, and proactive communication are essential to succeed in this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records using the company’s inventory management system.
- Perform regular cycle counts and thorough physical inventory audits to verify stock accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or variances found during inventory checks promptly.
- Ensure all inventory items are stored in their designated locations and handled according to established procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels continuously and alert relevant departments about potential shortages or excess stock to avoid operational disruptions.
- Collaborate with procurement and warehouse teams to ensure timely replenishment of stock and smooth inventory flow.
- Generate detailed inventory reports and analyze data trends to support effective planning and forecasting.
- Manage the monitoring of expiry dates, damaged goods, and obsolete items, ensuring their proper and timely disposal to maintain inventory integrity.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing inventory accuracy and overall operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum education level: Intermediate.
- At least one year of practical experience in inventory control or warehousing environments.
- Proficiency in using inventory management systems and Microsoft Excel for data entry and reporting.
- Ability to work on-site at the designated location in Lahore, Thokar Niaz Baig, with a hands-on approach.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Familiarity with ERP systems is considered an advantage and will be beneficial for managing integrated inventory processes.
- This is a full-time position offering a competitive monthly salary ranging from Rs40,000 to Rs45,000.
