We are seeking a meticulous and motivated Junior QA Executive to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, functionality, and reliability of our web and mobile applications through rigorous manual and automated testing. This position demands a detail-oriented approach to validate that our products meet the highest standards in performance, usability, and overall user experience.
Key Responsibilities
The Junior QA Executive will be responsible for conducting thorough testing across various platforms. This includes performing both manual and automated tests on web and mobile applications to verify UI/UX, functionality, usability, and performance. You will develop and execute detailed test cases, scenarios, and user acceptance tests to cover end-to-end application workflows.
Identifying, documenting, and tracking bugs and inconsistencies using structured defect management tools will be a key part of your role. You will carry out functional, regression, integration, and cross-platform testing to ensure seamless application behavior across different browsers, devices, and operating systems.
Collaboration is essential; you will work closely with developers, product managers, and design teams to communicate issues and support timely resolution. Maintaining comprehensive test documentation and test plans is critical to uphold software quality standards and best practices.
You will also report testing progress, results, and quality metrics to senior QA team members and participate in requirement analysis sessions to fully understand use cases and user stories.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related discipline. We welcome applicants with 1 to 1.5 years of practical experience in software testing; recent graduates with relevant internship experience are encouraged to apply.
A solid understanding of web and mobile application testing, including UI, functionality, and user experience, is essential. You should be familiar with developing test cases, interpreting user stories, and applying testing guidelines effectively.
A strong grasp of QA methodologies, testing types, and the software development lifecycle is required. Proficiency in defect tracking and project management tools such as Jira, Trello, or Bugzilla is expected.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with keen attention to detail, are vital. Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment are necessary.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Experience with automation testing tools like Selenium, Appium, or JMeter will be advantageous. Basic programming skills in Java, Python, or JavaScript for test automation purposes are preferred.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and sprint-based testing will enhance your fit for this role. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, version control systems such as Git, and database testing including SQL queries is a plus.
Experience in performance and load testing tools is also beneficial.
