Associate Software Engineer - Python

Job Summary
DevDimensions is seeking a motivated Associate Software Engineer with strong Python skills to join our innovative and fast-growing team. Key Responsibilities
As an Associate Software Engineer, you will assist in developing, testing, and maintaining Python-based applications and scripts. Your work will primarily focus on backend development using popular frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with senior developers, QA engineers, and UI/UX designers to deliver high-quality solutions across various projects. Writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code that follows best practices is essential. You will also participate in code reviews, contributing to team knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Supporting API integration and third-party services will be part of your daily tasks, along with debugging and resolving issues under the guidance of senior team members. Staying current with the latest trends and technologies in Python development is encouraged to ensure your skills remain sharp and relevant.

Required Qualifications
Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline. A minimum of one year of experience in Python development is required, along with a solid understanding of Python programming and object-oriented design principles. Familiarity with web development frameworks like Django or Flask, gained through academic projects or professional experience, is necessary.

You should have a working knowledge of RESTful APIs and HTTP protocols, as well as experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQLite. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills are essential, along with a willingness to learn and collaborate effectively within a team. Good communication skills are also important to succeed in this role.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Experience with version control systems, particularly Git, is highly desirable. Exposure to front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript will be considered an advantage. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP), as well as containerization tools like Docker, will set you apart.

Additionally, experience with Python scripting for automation or data processing is beneficial. These skills will help you contribute more broadly to our projects and accelerate your professional growth.
