Job Summary
Khas Socks & Knitwear, a premier manufacturer of high-quality knitted socks based in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan, is seeking a skilled and experienced Dyeing Master to lead its dyeing operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in dyeing processes, exceptional color matching expertise, and proven leadership capabilities within a fast-paced textile manufacturing environment. This role is pivotal in ensuring consistent, vibrant coloration across a wide variety of knitted socks while upholding stringent quality and efficiency standards.

Key Responsibilities
Process Leadership: Oversee the complete dyeing process, starting from raw yarn preparation through to the finished product stage. Ensure that all operations deliver optimal quality, efficiency, and consistent color outcomes aligned with company standards.

Recipe Development: Create and refine dyeing recipes tailored for diverse yarn types, including cotton, polyester, blends, and specialized fibers. Guarantee precise shade accuracy, excellent colorfastness, and finishes that align with current market trends and customer expectations.

Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop the dyeing department team, which includes machine operators and technicians. Provide ongoing training, constructive performance feedback, and cultivate a collaborative, high-performing work environment.

Machine Operation & Troubleshooting: Operate and supervise advanced dyeing machinery such as jet dyeing, soft flow, winch, and yarn dyeing machines. Quickly identify and resolve technical issues to maintain production schedules and maximize equipment efficiency.

Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough quality control inspections on dyed yarns and finished socks. Utilize both visual and spectrophotometric shade matching techniques and perform comprehensive colorfastness tests against washing, rubbing, light exposure, and perspiration. Ensure all products comply with internal benchmarks and international quality standards.

Inventory & Chemical Management: Manage inventory levels of dyes, chemicals, and auxiliary agents. Ensure proper storage, safe handling procedures, and environmentally responsible waste disposal in compliance with local regulations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with knitting, finishing, and quality assurance teams to ensure smooth production flow. Proactively identify potential dyeing-related challenges and implement effective solutions.

Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed records of dyeing processes, recipes, production data, quality control results, and inventory transactions to support traceability and continuous process improvement.

Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental protocols within the dyeing department to maintain a safe and compliant workplace.

Industry Awareness: Keep abreast of the latest advancements in dyeing technologies, industry trends, and chemical innovations relevant to hosiery and textile dyeing.

Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to enhance dyeing processes, reduce operational costs, and minimize waste without compromising product quality.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Textile Chemistry, or a related discipline is preferred. Candidates with relevant diplomas and substantial experience will also be considered.
- Minimum of 5 to 6 years of progressive experience as a Dyeing Master or in a senior leadership role within a reputable knitting or textile manufacturing company.
- Proven expertise in dyeing knitted fabrics and yarns specifically for socks.

This is a full-time, on-site position based at Khas Socks & Knitwear’s facility in Karachi. The successful candidate will be instrumental in sustaining the company’s reputation for delivering vibrant colors, superior quality, and efficient production processes.
