Senior Unity Developer

Job Summary
We are seeking a talented Senior Unity Developer with 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience specializing in 2D game development. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of the Unity engine and a proven portfolio showcasing published or live 2D mobile or desktop games. In this role, you will take the lead on development initiatives, focusing on creating smooth, engaging gameplay experiences. You will work closely with designers, artists, and other developers to bring creative game concepts to life while ensuring optimal performance across platforms.

Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Unity Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining 2D games using Unity and C#. You will collaborate with game designers, artists, and fellow developers to translate game ideas into fully functional features. This includes implementing core game mechanics, user interfaces, animations, and visual effects that enhance player engagement.

Performance optimization is a critical part of your role. You will ensure games run efficiently on Android, iOS, and desktop platforms by identifying and resolving bugs, performance bottlenecks, and memory issues. Maintaining high code quality is essential; you will follow best practices, document your work thoroughly, and use version control systems such as Git to manage codebases effectively.

Additionally, you will integrate third-party SDKs, including advertising, analytics, and in-app purchase systems, to support monetization and user engagement strategies.

Required Qualifications
Candidates must have 2 to 3 years of professional experience working with the Unity engine, specifically focused on 2D game development. Strong programming skills in C# are essential. You should be proficient in working with sprites, tilemaps, 2D physics, and animation systems within Unity.

A solid understanding of game architecture, design patterns, and object-oriented programming principles is required to build scalable and maintainable code. Experience in performance optimization and memory management tailored for mobile devices is critical to ensure smooth gameplay.

Familiarity with version control tools, particularly Git, is necessary for collaborative development. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment are also important.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Experience with publishing games on platforms such as Google Play Store or Apple App Store is highly desirable. Knowledge of monetization systems, including ads and in-app purchases, will be a strong advantage.

An understanding of UI/UX principles specific to mobile games will help you create intuitive and enjoyable player experiences. Experience with multiplayer or online game features is a plus but not mandatory.
