Job Summary
The Floor Manager is a vital leadership role responsible for overseeing the daily operations on the restaurant floor. Key Responsibilities
Operational Management:
The Floor Manager supervises and coordinates all activities on the restaurant floor, ensuring efficient workflows throughout the day. Special attention is given to peak hours to maintain smooth operations. Monitoring order accuracy, food quality, and presentation is essential to uphold the restaurant’s standards and deliver a consistent customer experience.
Customer Service:
A key part of the role involves addressing and resolving customer complaints or concerns promptly and professionally. The Floor Manager fosters a welcoming and friendly dining atmosphere, encouraging positive interactions between staff and guests. Gathering customer feedback and implementing improvements based on this input is also a critical responsibility.
Staff Supervision:
The Floor Manager is responsible for scheduling and assigning tasks to floor staff effectively, ensuring that all team members understand their roles. Conducting pre-shift briefings to communicate daily objectives and updates keeps the team aligned. Monitoring staff performance, providing coaching, and managing any behavioral issues are vital to maintaining a productive work environment.
Inventory and Supplies:
Maintaining adequate stock levels of essential supplies such as condiments, utensils, and napkins falls under the Floor Manager’s duties. They must promptly report any shortages or damages to the inventory manager to avoid disruptions in service.
Health and Safety Compliance:
The Floor Manager enforces hygiene and safety standards consistently on the floor. Routine checks are performed to ensure compliance with local food safety regulations, safeguarding both customers and staff.
Reporting:
Providing detailed feedback and shift performance reports to the Restaurant Manager is an important part of the role. The Floor Manager also documents and addresses incidents, customer complaints, or equipment malfunctions to support continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- A diploma in hospitality management is an advantage.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in the fast food or restaurant industry.
- At least 1 year in a managerial or supervisory capacity is required.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in handling customer complaints and conflict resolution.
- Basic understanding of inventory management and health regulations.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts.
- Fluency in both Urdu and English is essential.
