Job Summary
We are seeking a meticulous and organized Accounts Officer to join the head office team of a reputable full-service restaurant group. This role is pivotal in managing the financial transactions and records across all restaurant units, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the group’s financial operations. The successful candidate will support smooth financial processes, contribute to reporting and forecasting, and maintain compliance with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities
The Accounts Officer will be responsible for processing and maintaining all financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, for multiple restaurant locations. A key part of the role involves reconciling financial statements, bank accounts, and credit card transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness. The candidate will assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, providing management with valuable insights into the group’s financial performance.

Cash flow monitoring and management are essential duties, ensuring funds are allocated appropriately and payments to vendors and suppliers are made on time. The Accounts Officer will collaborate closely with unit managers to verify and process expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies. Regular audits of financial documents and records will be conducted to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.

Additionally, the role includes supporting tax preparation and filing, ensuring adherence to applicable tax laws and regulations. Maintaining organized, up-to-date financial files and documentation for easy access is critical. The Accounts Officer will also contribute to financial forecasting and budgeting by providing input and insights that aid strategic decision-making. Staying informed on industry trends, accounting standards, and best practices is expected to continuously improve financial processes.

Required Qualifications
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. A minimum of two years’ experience in an accounting or finance role is required, preferably within the restaurant or hospitality sector. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations is essential.

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is necessary. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently while prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines. Analytical and problem-solving skills are critical, along with effective written and verbal communication abilities. A high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential financial information is mandatory.
