Job Summary

We are a well-established web design company expanding into digital publishing with the goal of developing and managing a portfolio of high-traffic, niche-specific websites targeting the US market. This new initiative focuses on creating valuable content across multiple formats—text, video, and images—and monetizing through diverse revenue streams. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Lead Publisher or General Manager to take full ownership of this venture. The ideal candidate will leverage our existing infrastructure and cutting-edge technologies, including AI, to build and scale a robust digital publishing business.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Vision: You will develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to identify, launch, and grow multiple niche websites tailored to the US market. This includes defining content strategies, target audiences, and monetization models aligned with current market trends. Staying abreast of industry developments, algorithm changes, and emerging technologies is essential to maintain a competitive edge. You will also drive innovation in content creation and distribution.

Milestone Ownership & Execution: You will own all project milestones and deliverables from conception through launch and growth phases. Responsibilities include creating detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocations. You will monitor progress, proactively address challenges, and ensure timely, on-budget delivery. Regular reporting on key performance indicators and milestone achievements to stakeholders will be expected.

Team Management & Development: You will recruit, train, and manage a diverse team of content producers, including writers, video creators, graphic designers, and AI prompt engineers. Fostering a collaborative environment with clear expectations and performance metrics is critical. Overseeing workflows, maintaining quality control, and optimizing production processes will be part of your role.

Technical Acumen & AI Integration: Expertise in website architecture, particularly WordPress development, optimization, and security best practices, is required. You will manage hosting to ensure optimal performance, uptime, and scalability, while implementing robust security measures and ensuring compliance with digital regulations such as GDPR and CCPA. Leveraging AI tools for content generation, optimization, and automation—including deploying AI agents for ideation, drafting, summarization, image generation, and data analysis—is a key responsibility. Continuous exploration of AI-driven solutions to enhance efficiency is expected.

Revenue Generation & Business Acumen: A deep understanding of US publisher revenue streams—including Google AdSense, Mediavine, Ezoic, AdThrive, affiliate marketing (e.g., Amazon Associates), sponsored content, direct advertising sales, subscription models, and e-commerce integration—is essential. You will develop and optimize monetization strategies to maximize profitability, manage email subscription platforms to build and engage audiences, analyze performance data to identify growth opportunities, and oversee budgets and financial projections.

Content & Traffic Generation: You will oversee end-to-end content production, ensuring high-quality, engaging, and SEO-optimized content tailored for the US audience. Implementing comprehensive SEO strategies—including keyword research, on-page and technical SEO, and link building focused on US search trends—is required. Additionally, you will develop diverse traffic generation strategies beyond organic search, such as social media, email marketing, and paid acquisition.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum 3+ years in a leadership role within digital publishing, media, or content-driven organizations, with proven project ownership and team management experience.
- Demonstrable experience in the US digital publishing market.
- Proven success in launching, growing, and monetizing multiple websites.
- Strong knowledge of digital marketing, SEO, and online revenue models including AdSense, affiliate marketing, ad networks, and sponsored content.
- Technical proficiency with website platforms (especially WordPress), hosting environments, website security, and compliance requirements.
- Experience with analytics tools (Google Analytics), SEO tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush), and email marketing platforms.
- High proficiency with AI technologies applied to content creation and publishing workflows; experience managing AI agents is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-starter with independence, proactivity, and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field preferred.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
