Cashier

Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Cashier to join our team. This role is pivotal in delivering an exceptional customer service experience by accurately processing transactions and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. The ideal candidate will possess strong numerical skills, integrity, and a responsible approach to handling payments. As the first point of contact for customers, you will play a key role in supporting both shoppers and store staff, ensuring smooth daily operations at the checkout.

Key Responsibilities
- Accurately and efficiently process customer transactions, including cash, credit/debit cards, and vouchers.
- Issue receipts, refunds, and change promptly and correctly.
- Maintain and balance the daily cash drawer, performing cash reconciliation at the end of each shift.
- Keep the cashier counter clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
- Assist store staff by responding to customer inquiries and providing helpful information.
- Uphold a friendly and professional demeanor to create a positive shopping experience for customers.

Required Qualifications
- 1 to 2 years of experience in cashiering or a related customer-facing role.
- Minimum educational qualification of Intermediate level; graduation is considered an advantage.
- Strong numerical aptitude with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in handling transactions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Demonstrated honesty and responsibility in managing payments and cash handling.
