Node Js Intern

Job Summary
VIION Technology, a proud member of the Viper Group, is looking for a passionate and motivated Node.js Intern to join our backend development team. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain practical experience working on real-world applications using Node.js and related technologies. Key Responsibilities
You will assist in developing and maintaining server-side logic using Node.js, ensuring that backend services are robust and efficient. Collaboration with front-end developers will be essential to seamlessly integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic. Writing clean, scalable, and efficient code that adheres to best practices is a core part of your role. You will actively participate in daily standups, code reviews, and brainstorming sessions to foster continuous improvement and team alignment. Testing and debugging applications to guarantee optimal functionality and performance will also be part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will review and analyze project requirements, helping to develop accurate estimates and task lists. A commitment to continuous learning and applying software development best practices will be expected to enhance code quality and efficiency.

Required Qualifications
Candidates should have a foundational understanding of JavaScript, Node.js, and Express.js. Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, and HTTP protocols is essential. Experience or knowledge of databases such as MongoDB, MySQL, or similar systems is considered a plus. Proficiency with version control tools, especially Git, is required. Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, combined with keen attention to detail, are crucial for success in this role. The ability to work effectively within an agile development environment is important. Good verbal and written communication skills are necessary to facilitate smooth interactions with clients and team members. Above all, candidates must demonstrate eagerness to learn and grow as backend developers.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Ideal candidates will have proficiency in JavaScript and a solid grasp of Node.js fundamentals. Experience with RESTful API design and implementation will be advantageous. Familiarity with database management systems like MongoDB and MySQL is preferred. Knowledge of JQuery and AJAX will be beneficial. Understanding database locking concepts is a plus. Additional skills such as SizzleJs, React.js, and TokuMX are optional but will be considered valuable assets.

This is a full-time, on-premises internship based at IT Tower, Gulberg, Lahore. Candidates must be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate to Lahore before starting. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred. The expected start date for this role is June 19, 2025.
