Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Plant Supervisor to lead and manage daily operations within a manufacturing or formulation facility. This hands-on role involves supervising plant labor to ensure smooth workflow, adherence to production schedules, and compliance with safety and quality standards. The Plant Supervisor will coordinate material requirements, maintain accurate production records, and oversee formulation activities. Working in rotational shifts, the successful candidate will support continuous operations and drive improvements in process efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
The Plant Supervisor will be responsible for managing and supervising plant labor to maintain efficient and uninterrupted production processes. This includes developing and maintaining material requirement plans aligned with sales forecasts, production schedules, and inventory levels to ensure timely availability of resources.
Overseeing all formulation activities is a critical part of the role, ensuring production demands are met with precision. The supervisor will operate and monitor production machinery to sustain continuous workflow and promptly issue maintenance work orders, following up to guarantee timely completion.
Strict implementation and adherence to 6S standards across the plant are essential to maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment. The supervisor will maintain accurate daily production records in designated logs, ensuring transparency and traceability.
Collaboration with the Quality Control department is necessary to coordinate product quality checks and approvals, ensuring all outputs meet required standards. The supervisor will also keep detailed records of raw materials received, consumed, and available in stock to support inventory management.
Reporting any irregularities, downtime, or deviations from standard processes to the Production Manager is a key responsibility to facilitate swift resolution and minimize operational disruptions. Enforcing safety protocols on the production floor is paramount to protect all staff and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
Additionally, the Plant Supervisor will actively support continuous improvement initiatives, contributing ideas and efforts to enhance operational efficiency and overall plant performance.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must have 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience within a manufacturing or formulation environment. A strong understanding of industrial machinery operation and basic maintenance procedures is essential to effectively manage plant equipment and minimize downtime.
Proficiency in maintaining production and inventory records is required to ensure accurate documentation and support production planning. Candidates should hold a Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, providing the technical foundation necessary for this role.
Location and Employment Details
This full-time position is based in Gajumatah, Lahore, with a hybrid remote work option available in Lahore’s Gulberg Colony. The role requires flexibility to work in rotational shifts to support continuous plant operations.
