Job Summary
This senior leadership role is responsible for directing Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) within Supply Chain and Franchise Operations across the Eurasia Middle East Operating Unit (OU). Reporting directly to the Senior Safety Manager, the role translates Coca-Cola Company’s global safety priorities into practical strategies tailored for bottling operations. It ensures continuous alignment and implementation of safety initiatives, working closely with bottlers’ safety and supply chain teams, corporate safety functions, and other Operating Units. The position drives safety governance, reporting, risk assessment, and culture transformation, fostering a best-in-class safety environment across a diverse and complex operational footprint.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and provide strategic direction for Occupational Health and Safety across Supply Chain and Franchise Operations, overseeing the Senior Safety Manager. Translate global Coca-Cola safety priorities into actionable operational strategies and ensure their consistent application within bottling operations.
Collaborate extensively with bottlers’ safety and supply chain functions, corporate safety teams, and other Operating Units to align safety targets and initiatives. Manage comprehensive safety reporting from bottling operations through to corporate, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of data.
Support decision-making on innovation by assessing safety risks associated with key initiatives, working closely with the Senior Safety Manager. Develop, maintain, and execute OU governance frameworks related to Occupational Health and Safety, driving the long-term OU safety vision.
Lead planning efforts and engage system partners to achieve safety goals, accelerating progress of safety systems and programs. Implement and monitor the “Zero is Possible” Safety Strategy and all related programs across OU territories.
Deploy the OU Route to Market (RTM) Strategy in all territories, ensuring KORE safety requirements and OU governance align with the global governance framework. Communicate and train bottling operations on OU safety requirements, supporting and validating effective implementation.
Develop, publish, and maintain OU Health & Safety requirements within the OU Quality, Safety, and Environment (QSE) Governance model. Track and report on safety audit achievements and ISO 45001 management system compliance.
Support Safety & Health Incident Management and Crisis Resolution (IMCR) at the OU level, promoting proactive sharing of lessons learned across the global safety network. Actively communicate and implement Coca-Cola Company global safety programs within operations.
Develop and implement plans focused on route to market strategies with key stakeholders. Align and implement globally agreed safety performance metrics with local operations, establishing processes for routine review of Safety Key Business Indicators (KBIs) at OU and local levels.
Drive the development and execution of safety improvement plans at OU and local levels. Develop solutions for data management and reporting of Safety KBIs. Contribute to defining OU and regional safety governance, supporting partner and business development initiatives.
Lead occupational safety and health culture transformation efforts to embed safety excellence as a core system value, partnering closely with the Senior Safety Manager.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food, Chemical, Environmental, Safety Engineering, Food Science, Biochemistry, or a related discipline. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment within the oil/chemical industry, pharmaceutical sector, or FMCG field.
At least 5 years of direct safety management experience, including managerial roles in field facilities or within Quality, Safety, and Environment governance teams. Experience in beverage industry operations, packaging, or ingredient manufacturing with strong knowledge of relevant quality and safety standards.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
