Job Summary
This apprenticeship opportunity is based in Islamabad, Pakistan, within the Development Sector, offering a monthly salary of PKR 134,169. The role is situated within the Action Against Hunger (ACF) Program Development, Partnership, and Communication Department. This department is responsible for donor reporting, proposal development, internal coordination, and communication activities across the country program. The position reports directly to the Program Development and Partnerships Manager and is contingent upon the approval and successful initiation of upcoming projects. Key Responsibilities
The apprentice will assist in developing Communications and Visibility Plans tailored for each project and coordinate the preparation of monthly newsletters. Field-level visibility activities, including documentation and recording, will also be supported. The role involves creating essential communication materials such as presentations, case studies, IEC (Information, Education, and Communication) materials, human interest stories, and Annual Reports.
Collaboration is key, as the apprentice will work closely with teams and partners to collect success stories, ad-hoc reports, and media monitoring inputs. Contributions to quarterly report writing are expected. The role requires active engagement and networking with print and electronic media professionals across Pakistan to enhance visibility.
During emergencies, the apprentice will support communication and visibility efforts, ensuring the correct use of organizational logos. Maintaining an updated archive of photos and videos is essential, along with managing content posting on ACF Pakistan’s social media platforms.
Participation in program meetings and preparation of project progress presentations will be part of the daily tasks. The apprentice will support the Communication and Reporting team in finalizing internal and external progress reports, including Annual Progress Reports (APRs), Country Results Framework Updates (CRFUs), quarterly reports, and donor submissions.
Strict adherence to internal policies, processes, and financial management systems is mandatory. The apprentice will maintain and regularly update communication and reporting archives, both digital and physical, including proposals, contracts, and reports.
Upholding and implementing ACF’s gender equality, child protection, and safeguarding policies in all work activities is a critical responsibility. The role also involves fostering an inclusive office environment free from gender bias or discrimination related to manageable disabilities.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must hold either a Master’s degree in Mass Communication or a related discipline with a minimum of three years of experience in content development, or a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field accompanied by at least five years of relevant experience.
