Software Engineer

Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Software Engineer with 2 to 4 years of experience specializing in Datapower development to join our integration team based in Hyderabad. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Datapower services, with a strong focus on implementing XSLT transformations to enable smooth system integration. This role requires close collaboration with developers, QA engineers, and product managers to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions within an Agile framework. Candidates who possess strong XML/XSLT skills and enjoy tackling integration challenges will find this role both engaging and rewarding.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Datapower services, including Web Service Proxy (WSP), Multi-Protocol Gateway (MPG), and XML Firewall configurations.
- Write, optimize, and maintain XSLT code to handle data transformations and service logic effectively.
- Participate actively in requirement gathering sessions and provide accurate estimates for development efforts.
- Execute development tasks such as code modifications, schema updates, and configuration changes in Datapower environments.
- Conduct unit testing and troubleshoot issues encountered throughout the integration process.
- Address and resolve bugs reported by QA teams and other application stakeholders promptly to ensure smooth operations.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
- Support Agile development practices by contributing to sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and continuous process improvements.

Required Qualifications
- 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience as a Datapower Developer.
- Proficient in working with Datapower services including WSP, MPG, and XML Firewall.
- Strong expertise in XSLT, XML, XML Schema, and WSDL technologies.
- Experience with protocols such as HTTP and MQ, along with familiarity with other Datapower objects.
- Ability to read, analyze, and debug Datapower logs and troubleshoot issues across multiple environments.
- Working knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA.
- Experience in the insurance domain, particularly Personal and Commercial Lines, is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a global delivery model.
