Job Summary

We are looking for a committed Officer Quality Assurance (QA) with a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or Food Engineering to join our quality team. This role is based at our Korangi and Shafiq More factory locations. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring that all raw materials, ingredients, and packaging meet rigorous quality and safety standards before entering production. Vigilance in early defect detection is essential to prevent quality issues from affecting the manufacturing process or reaching customers. The role also demands strict adherence to regulatory and company quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

The Officer QA will be responsible for verifying that all raw materials, ingredients, and packaging materials comply with predefined quality and safety specifications prior to production. Acting as the first line of defense, the officer will identify defects or non-conformities early to prevent any impact on production or product quality.

This role includes verifying labeling, packaging, and product presentation to ensure alignment with company branding and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. This covers allergen labeling, weight accuracy, and shelf-life declarations. The officer will conduct quality inspections both within factory premises and retail environments to maintain consistent product integrity throughout the supply chain.

Evaluating product functionality, durability, and safety—especially for packaged or finished goods—is a key duty to guarantee consumer safety and satisfaction. The officer will use inspection tools such as gauges, scales, micrometers, and other measuring devices to carry out precise assessments of dimensions, weight, and other technical specifications.

Detailed evaluations will confirm that all items meet internal standards, including packaging seals, product weights, and tolerances. Maintaining comprehensive inspection records is critical, documenting findings, defects, and corrective actions taken. The officer will support traceability and audit readiness through disciplined and accurate reporting.

Additionally, the role involves contributing to root cause analysis and corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes, recommending improvements to enhance quality systems. Collaboration with internal departments such as Supply Chain, Production, Procurement, and Stores is essential to address quality concerns and ensure effective feedback loops.

Proactive identification of potential quality risks and suggestions for improving inspection protocols and quality control procedures are expected. The officer must strictly adhere to company safety protocols and help maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready work environment in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Other duties may include participation in audits, investigations, and special quality projects as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or Food Engineering. A minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in the FMCG food sector is required. Strong communication skills are essential for effective collaboration and reporting.

Applicants should be willing to work on-site at either the Korangi or Shafiq More factory locations and be comfortable with rotational shift schedules.
