Laravel and PHP Backend Developer

Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Laravel and PHP Backend Developer to join our team based in Gulberg II, Lahore. This full-time, on-site role requires a dedicated professional to design, develop, and maintain custom web applications and APIs using the Laravel framework. Working hours are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively, with a strong emphasis on backend development and system optimization.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend systems that support both mobile and web applications. Close collaboration with frontend developers, designers, and other team members is essential to deliver scalable and robust solutions. Key duties include implementing APIs, creating efficient database schemas, and integrating third-party services seamlessly. The role also involves optimizing existing backend structures to improve performance and reliability. Promptly debugging, troubleshooting, and resolving backend-related issues is critical to maintaining system integrity. Additionally, the developer must ensure data security and uphold the integrity of backend systems at all times.

Required Qualifications
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline. A minimum of one year of experience in backend development is required. Proficiency in PHP and the Laravel framework is essential, while knowledge of other backend technologies such as Node.js or Python is considered a plus. Experience with databases like MySQL, MongoDB, or similar systems is necessary. Familiarity with RESTful APIs and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is expected. Candidates should also have working knowledge of version control tools, particularly Git. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are crucial for success in this role.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Experience with AWS services—including EC2, CloudFront, Route 53, Amplify, ACM, S3 Bucket, and Elastic IP—is highly advantageous. Candidates must be prepared to commute reliably to Lahore or plan to relocate before starting employment. The company offers a three-month probation period, after which permanent employment may be offered based on performance.
