Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Technical Leader to spearhead the architecture and development of our innovative SaaS products. This pivotal role requires shaping a robust technical roadmap that prioritizes scalability, security, and high performance. You will work closely with product, engineering, and data science teams to deliver cutting-edge solutions. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience managing cross-functional teams and driving technology initiatives across diverse stacks, with a strong emphasis on compliance and innovation within the fintech and identity verification domains.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Architecture:
You will lead the design and continuous evolution of our product architecture, ensuring it meets the demands of scalability, security, and optimal performance. Collaboration with product management, engineering, and data science teams is essential to align technical strategies with overarching business goals. You will oversee development efforts across key technology stacks, including Laravel, Node.js, React.js, and Python.

SaaS Product Oversight:
Drive engineering initiatives with a SaaS-first approach, focusing on multi-tenancy, high uptime, seamless integrations, and platform reliability. You will ensure best practices are followed in API-first architecture, modular microservices, and deployment strategies. Partnering closely with Product Management, you will balance feature prioritization with technical debt management, while navigating time-to-market pressures and regulatory compliance.

Team & People Management:
Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse, cross-functional team comprising backend, frontend, DevOps, QA, and data professionals. Cultivate a culture of high performance, innovation, ownership, and continuous learning. Identify skill gaps and actively support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing professional development.

Security, Compliance & Quality:
Ensure all systems comply with industry security standards such as ISO 27001, GDPR, and PCI DSS, alongside regulatory mandates including AML and KYC. Integrate security and quality assurance into CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows. Support audits, penetration testing, and conduct rigorous code reviews to maintain system integrity.

Innovation & Strategy:
Evaluate emerging technologies and frameworks for alignment with the company’s vision. Represent the technical team in strategic discussions with leadership, partners, and regulatory bodies. Collaborate with AI/ML research teams to foster innovation in identity verification and fraud detection solutions.

Required Qualifications

Technical Expertise:
- Over 10 years of software development experience, including 3 to 5 years in a technical leadership role.
- Proficiency in backend technologies such as Laravel (PHP), Node.js, and Python (Flask/Django).
- Strong frontend skills with React.js.
- Experience managing databases like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and DevOps tools including AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.

Product & Domain Knowledge:
- Proven success in building and scaling SaaS platforms, preferably within Fintech, RegTech, or Identity Verification sectors.
- Deep understanding of KYC/AML compliance, security protocols, data privacy regulations, and the global fintech landscape.

Leadership & Management:
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional engineering teams in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies, OKRs, and technical KPIs.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.
- Certifications or specialization in cloud architecture, cybersecurity, or fintech regulations.
- Experience working in AI-driven product environments is a plus.
