Job Summary
We are looking for a proficient Assistant Manager IT to join our dynamic team based in Johar Town, Lahore. The successful candidate will take charge of managing and monitoring the organization’s network infrastructure, ensuring it operates at peak performance and maintains robust security standards. This role demands hands-on expertise with routers, switches, firewalls, and network monitoring tools, alongside providing technical support and coordinating various IT projects. This is a full-time position offering a competitive monthly salary of up to Rs120,000.

Key Responsibilities
The Assistant Manager IT will be responsible for overseeing network performance through advanced monitoring tools such as Zabbix, Grafana, and Prometheus. You will configure and maintain critical network components including MikroTik routers, Cisco switches, VLANs, VPNs, and firewall rules to ensure seamless connectivity and security.

Providing technical support across the organization is a vital part of this role, addressing hardware, software, and network-related issues promptly and effectively. You will also implement and uphold cybersecurity protocols and manage data backup procedures to safeguard organizational data.

Managing IT inventory, liaising with vendors, and maintaining comprehensive system documentation will be essential to ensure smooth IT operations. Additionally, you will assist in deploying new systems, performing upgrades, and supporting various IT projects to enhance infrastructure capabilities.

A key focus will be to ensure high availability and optimal performance of all IT systems, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.

Required Qualifications
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline. A solid 3 to 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure and network management is required.

Hands-on experience with MikroTik routers and firewalls, VLAN configurations, VPN setups, and Cisco switches in enterprise-level environments is essential. Proficiency in designing and implementing firewall rules is also necessary.

Familiarity with network monitoring tools such as Zabbix, Grafana, and Prometheus is expected. A good understanding of both Windows and Linux server environments will be advantageous.

Strong troubleshooting skills, effective communication abilities, and meticulous documentation practices are critical to succeed in this role.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Candidates with relevant certifications such as MTCNA, CCNA, or their equivalents will be given preference. Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS or Google Workspace is considered an asset.

Basic scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python will enhance your ability to automate routine tasks and improve system management.
